My Favorite Bibles & Devotionals (for men & women)
With so many different Bibles and Devotionals out there, it can be hard to find just the one you’re looking for.
So I’ve narrowed it down to just a few that are my favorites!
Women’s Devotional Bible
With all the good reviews (plus you know, it’s pink…haha) I decided to give it a try. I’m very glad I did! I committed to reading a little every day and set a goal of reading it completely in one year. I was so happy when I accomplished that goal; it was a year to the day in fact that I finished it.
This Bible has a 4.9/5 star rating on Amazon and a 4.3/5 star rating on BarnesandNoble.com. The devotionals are for any woman, single, married, mother, grandmother – it’s not specifically for one group of women like many are.
NIV Outdoorsman Bible
I bought this Bible as a gift and have gotten positive feedback on it.
It has a 4.3/5 star review on Amazon.
For the purpose of this article, I’ve included a partial snapshot of what the author of the devotions (Jason Cruise) said about this Bible.

Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence
Each day’s passages aren’t long but do very well getting the message across. An advantage to each day’s non-lengthy text is it’s easy to find time before leaving for work, or before going to bed to read the devotion for that day.
It has a 4.9/5 star rating on Amazon and 4.5/5 star rating on Goodreads.com. It is written as though Jesus is speaking to you, giving you encouragement for each day.
The lower ratings on this devotional are from people who don’t like that she writes this way-saying you wouldn’t really know what Jesus would say, which is understandable. But the point of it is to help you feel closer to God and Christ. Here is an excerpt from the devotional.
God Moments for Men
This is a great devotional and is easy to relate to. There’s a different message on each page followed by a Bible verse. Then the message from Andy Holmes (the author) and finally, a quote.
The description on Amazon (where it has a 5 star rating) states, “At times we all lose direction in our lives. By taking a few moments everyday to speak with God it will help you find the direction you need to go in. This 96 page 4 x 7 book with embossed compasses is designed for men to reflect on their lives and the Lord.”
(And if you’re interested, there’s a God Moments for Women as well.)
The Duck Commander Devotional
(And for couples)
(For men & women)
Both the men’s and women’s Duck Commander Devotional have the same content, just different covers and inside colors. I have the pink devotional.
It’s really wonderful; each day has a different subject title, then a verse from the Bible, the devotion for that day, and finally a prayer from different members of the Robertson family. I’ve read front-to-back and highly recommend it, especially if you’re a Robertson family fan.
You get more background on their family and the prayers feel more personalized when you know who the person is that’s saying them. Both the men’s and women’s devotionals have a 4.9/5 star rating on Amazon.
For the purpose of this article, I’ve included a snapshot from it (which is available for both men’s and women’s devotionals on Amazon).
This devotional has great reviews: 5/5 star rating on Goodreads.com and 4.5/5 stars on Amazon (the only 1 star review said, “Fast delivering and pleased with the book, thank you” so I’m a little confused with the 1 star rating she gave.)
Al & Lisa Robertson include what they pray so you can learn how to pray for and with your spouse. They also give you goals and encourage you to work together with your husband/wife. Below is the back of the devotional.
